Rise of the Red Empress: Knight of Death book 6 of the Death Dealer Saga

Even before her great transformation Maiha Nakatoma vowed to protect the Emperor. That vow was one she gave as James J. Owens, the last of the Owens Clan and First High Lord of the Death Dealers. It was a vow that Maiha was going to keep even now with her second chance in life.
With the destruction of the Imperial City and the death of the Emperor Sha the Temple of Holy Light has begun a campaign of terror. Richelieu’s Reaper drop ships have destroyed more than half of the opposing High Family Houses using orbital bombardment and nuclear attacks. Even among the Imperial Standard Military division has come to their ranks. Even among the upper echelons of the Military religious fever has brought about questions of loyalty. The greatest threat to the Temple of Holy Light though lays within the walls of a returning Temple.
With one simple act Maiha Nakatoma brought about this threat. By restoring the Temple of Ida-ten and five of its six orders of knights. The return of this one Temple holds the key to more than just stopping Richelieu and the Temple of Holy Light. The Temple of Ida-ten holds the keys to the Empire. Keys that Maiha will use to her full advantage and turn the tide of war.
A war that has been going against Maiha, Princess Daniela, the Nakatoma Household, and the few High Families that have rallied to Princess Daniela’s banner. It has only been by a lucky quirk of the law that the Death Dealer Divisions have not been turn against them. This quirk is a standing order to all Death Dealer Division Commanders and above. Only a Crowned and Sitting Emperor or Empress can command the Death Dealer Divisions. It is also this same law that will insure victory for Maiha and Princess Daniela.
The question that stands before Maiha and her family is how to use the law to turn the tide of war. Even now as she and her family work to untangle the quarks of this long-standing law, a massive enemy rushes towards them.
