This report results from a conference conducted to review the process for tabulating census data, hear reports on experiences in using these data, evaluate how useful or adequate the data are for transportation planning, and recommend improvements for consideration by the Bureau of the Census and the U.S. Department of Transportation in future programs. The conference was attended by approximately 70 professionals working in census and transportation planning activities.
