Piper Griffin heads an all-female band in 1970s California. But when her lead singer and love of her life dies, Piper struggles to find the motivation to go on. Her best friend and bandmate Stacey is losing patience with Piper’s inability to move forward, and their relationship is further strained by their unresolved attraction to one another. When a high-profile agency offers to sign the band and finish what they started, Piper suddenly doesn’t know if she wants a music career again, and has to face the possibility that maybe she never did. Despite her best intentions, Piper seems to be unable to make a good decision, and with an ex-boyfriend, a shady CEO, a new love, the return of a figure from the past, and her dead girlfriend’s ghost in the mix, things are getting complicated.
