About
In 2010, I was hired by a secret organization to conduct research into suspicious deaths and reports of supernatural activities in a small town called Meadow City. Four years later what I uncovered was not only disturbing but a world beyond scientific understanding. Due to the nature of my research, I was forced to use what I call consultations and probes to collect information. I also realized that my findings may provoke potential ghostly adversaries; therefore, my evidence of suspicious deaths and supernatural activities are presented through sketches to protect witnesses, victims, and informants. My findings are then categorized into seven themes. They include: be wary of talking animals; fables are not always fables; wolves will harm you; possession is more than meets the eye; don’t provoke certain women; a good witch does not exist, and there is no such thing as a hero. The themes are then used as titles for each chapter, followed by a brief introduction and supported through evidence (sketches). The following are my definitions: Consultations are statements or interviews with victims, witnesses, criminals and accusers. A Probe is a torture method used to obtain information about a particular event, person or situation. A Sketch is a form of storytelling but with less emphasis on plot. It describes a situation, conflict or person and is used as evidence to make a specific point. Sketches are usually told in present tense to create a sense of immediacy and for the reader to experience events in real time.
