Lađa od vode prva je objavljena knjiga Pavla Pavličića. Bilo je to 1972. godine. Dvadeset priča, uključenih u Lađu, uredio je tada Veselko Tenžera. Priče su nastajale krajem šezdesetih godina prošloga stoljeća, u trenutku kad je autor napustio rodni Vukovar i došao na studij u Zagreb. Kritika je ubrzo naslovnu priču knjige proglasila programatskim tekstom generacije hrvatskih fantastičara. Pitanje znakova, svijeta kao teksta, pitanje komunikacije, temeljni su motivi priča smještenih u prostor grada na Dunavu.
