A science fiction novella set in 2032. Veteran astronaut Yang Junlong is commanding his third and final mission to the Moon. His companion, geologist Liu Yaping, is on her first mission into space.
Whilst returning to their lunar landing craft "Spirit of China", the astronauts' rover crashes. Injured, Junlong is unable to walk back to the lander and orders Yaping to save herself and leave him behind to die. Yaping sets off, but is determined to find a way to rescue Junlong.
Pitting her wits against the harsh and unforgiving lunar landscape, on her way to the lander Yaping makes a discovery that changes the history of spaceflight. But will she survive and reveal to the world the biggest secret of the twentieth century?
