About
As the school bell rings and signals the beginning of summer, everyone is excited—except Tommy. His dad has a new job in California and now Tommy has to move and leave his friends forever. As he steps off the bus and snags his uniform with his backpack, a button falls off and rolls into the curb. Now trapped on a dusty busy street, Button is very scared! The minute Button thinks he is small and insignificant, a soft hand picks him up and puts him in a jar with lots of other buttons. As Button peers out the glass jar, he sees a one-eyed, sad brown bear sitting on a child’s bed. But when the soft hand suddenly reaches inside the jar and pulls him out, Button has no idea his life is about to change forever. In this beautifully illustrated children’s story, a tiny button shares a wonderful lesson that we are all important, especially when we do something nice for others.
