Hardly surprising Jesus developed a reputation for having a bit of attitude - he got it from his Mum.It all unfolds from her daily musings written between that fateful visit of the Angel Gabriel and the birth in a stable.This diary has been cleverly reconstructed from scraps of parchment recently discovered in a cave in Israel, and translated from Aramaic into English. It makes compelling reading placing the reader in the mind of the young girl chosen for a momentous task without much say in the matter.The diary also describes what would generally have been known and experienced by Galileans living 2000 years ago.Little is known or written about Mary although she holds a central place in Christianity and is depicted in innumerable paintings and icons. This diary fills in the gaps between what has been handed down to us and what such a girl would have experienced and thought in her time.
