The Armored Rose

The Armored Rose is primarily a book about the difference between men and women when they meet a physical confrontation. The book focuses on the physical differences between tendons, hands, body ratio as well as the chemical differences in the endocrine system and how it effects the reactions both he and she have on the fighting field. The book also dives in depth to examine what is going on between the ears of the female fighter. Throughout the book there are specific tips for trainers on how to apply the information.
In addition there are extensive training tips, examples on how to throw blows and tips on various techniques.
This book is specifically written for fighting for the Society for Creative Anachronism; however the book has been used by the US Marshal’s service and the Australian Federal Police Academy for training officers for physical confrontations. Every trainer is likely to find something in this text that can be applied.
The paper copy has ‘flip-books’ to illustrate blow mechanics. (Thumb through the pages to see a mini movie), the electronic copy also has the pictures that can be flipped through, although slower, on the electronic reader.
