The Detour (Chinese Edition)

Emily is a lecturer working in a Dutch university. She flees to a distant village in north Wales because of some relationship scandal. A young man intrudes up her isolated and calm life. She is annoyed because his purity and vitality force her to smell the decay of her life. The other line of this novel focuses on Holland, where the husband of Emily finds out her whereabouts with the help of private detective investigation. He sends a postcard to Emily with only one simple sentence: ""I am coming."" Emily is like a trapped beast confronting with threats from different directions. How can she escape from the roundup? From this perspective, The Detour is a desperate fiction.
