Alberto Giacometti
by Monique Meyer
About
"This publication accompanies the exhibition presenting little-known drawings and watercolours by Alberto Giacometti. These entered the Kunsthaus Zürich in 2012, following the death of the artists' brother Bruno, as part of a bequest. This body of works is unique because it provides profound insights into Alberto's working processes in every phase of his career and contains rare private and informal moments. The works clearly reveal that drawing was an indispensable means for Alberto Giacometti to comprehend what he saw around him and thus was crucial to his work as an artist."
