Work hard. Get good grades. Get a good job. Earn lots of money, and basically waste your life away on a fool's dream. It seems like everywhere Jax Dean looks, people are choking on the American Dream. But this isn't America and Jax hasn't slept for days. Antisocial, alienated and paranoid, Jax is looking for some kind of escape from the despair and emptiness of high-school, or maybe just a little bit of anarchy to make it through the days. That is, until a chance meeting with a beautiful girl sets Jax Dean's life on a collision course with a fate even his darkest thoughts never imagined. And so, for a guy that only wants to vanish from the world, Jax Dean needs to find out if it's really better to burn out than to fade away.
