Unlike any other Regency I’ve read, The Earl’s Unexpected Journey of Love was certainly different. Jessie Bennett weaves a story about a young woman who dreams of traveling to Africa with her father. Her father allows her to go with the addition of Earl Joshua Hershey, who has traveled to Africa, to ensure that she is all right during the trip. This is a clean romance between Juliette and Joshua and it was a nice read. The story flows nicely with very few grammar errors that I were obvious. The language spoken was formal but during Regency times they did speak formally. I really enjoyed reading this story, Ms. Bennett’s writing grows with every book.
