About
Years after the official declaration of her parent's death, Xylie found herself working in the city that never sleeps, living with her aunt and uncle along with their five children. Work and education had become her life, and instead of partying all night, she studied textbooks and took in extra hours serving tables at La Rosa, a high-class restaurant at the core of NYC. She was a classic workaholic.
Because early on, she found work was the only thing to distract her from her past life, from the haunting memories of her parents' disappearance. So she let her mind wrap around the idea of keeping busy and not thinking about it. She created a past if anyone asked, and almost believed it herself.
With a roof over her head and food on her plate, her choice of solitude worked well.
Then the world she built so carefully... crashed.
