About
Concrete come into bloom: the artist Patrick Borchers (*1975) works with graphic means and multimedia room installations. He generally first collects visual material connected with diverse, often political phenomena, and then interprets these motifs graphically, or transforms them into another form. Hence, as also in the art-in-architecture project 'blumengiessen' (watering flowers), which Borchers realized in Giessen in 2017. In it, he contrasted a solid concrete wall with his ornamental, floral mesh through making the massive wall into a total work of art with his graphic works. The wall work consequently forms the centerpiece of his new publication. The emphasis in it is on Borchers's graphic work as well as his often multimedia room installations.
