About
In 1958, a young witness to a crime is duped into transporting weapons to Fidel Castro’s rebels. Unable to return, he is given a job at a casino in Havana. When revolution sweeps into the city he faces being left jobless and stateless. Desperate, he steals from the casino and flees with his pregnant girlfriend. Two generations later, his grandson sets out from the Caribbean to search for a legendary treasure his grandfather left behind. A storm sinks his boat and leaves him naked and unconscious on a remote beach. He can’t prove who he is or where he’s from, but with the help of strangers he takes on a new identity, and finds love in an off-beat town. After a scheming businessman learns his secret and blackmails him, the castaway goes underground to resume his search. He discovers more than he imagined, including the truth about the father he never knew.
