Your Right to Data Deletion

You have the right to request deletion of your personal data from Readfeed. This page explains how to exercise this right and what to expect during the process.

How to Request Data Deletion

To request deletion of your account and associated personal data, please follow these steps:

Log in to your Readfeed account
You must be logged in to verify your identity and process the deletion request.
Navigate to your account settings
Go to your profile settings page where you can manage your account preferences.
Find the account deletion option
Look for the "Delete Account" or "Request Data Deletion" option in your settings.
Follow the deletion process
Complete the account deletion form and confirm your request. You may be asked to verify your identity or provide additional confirmation.

If you are unable to access your account or prefer to submit a request via email, you can contact us directly:

Please include the following information in your email:

Your full name
Email address associated with your account
Username (if different from email)
Clear statement that you wish to delete your account and all associated data
Any additional information that may help us locate your account

What Data Will Be Deleted

When you request account deletion, we will delete the following personal data:

Your account profile information (name, email, username, bio, etc.)
Your posts, comments, and other content you've created
Your reading lists and book preferences
Your book club memberships and participation
Your messages and communications
Your preferences and settings
Your uploaded images and media

Note: Some information may be retained for legal or legitimate business purposes, such as:

Records required for legal compliance or dispute resolution
Anonymized or aggregated data that cannot be used to identify you
Information that other users have shared about you (which they control)

Processing Time

We will process your deletion request within 30 days of receiving it. You will receive a confirmation email once your account and data have been deleted. If we need additional information to process your request, we will contact you using the email address associated with your account.

Important Considerations

⚠️ Warning: Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

You will lose access to all your content, including posts, comments, and book lists
You will be removed from all book clubs you've joined
You will not be able to recover your account or data after deletion
If you wish to use Readfeed again in the future, you will need to create a new account
